UkeHut ShowCase series will feature three or four talented artists on the same day, each with a 20-30-minute show.

As a grand opening, the discounted admission is $10, and you can enjoy all the shows! As always, complimentary drinks will be served...purely for sharing the joy of music.

Renée Sunbird

Renée Sunbird loves to lose and find herself in the music.

Sometimes she finds words like treasures and starts crafting them into songs.

Other times, Mantras lead her to an ocean of wisdom without beginning or end. This ocean is where all the words and sounds come from. Everything and everyone is equally beautiful in that state of mind.

Sharing those gifts is the biggest joy and fulfillment for her.

She has recorded five studio albums and written a Mantra Songbook for the Ukulele.

Lily_Saya

Lily Saya is a singer and ukulele player from Japan, a totally cool addition to the city, having arrived this January as an au pair. Her recent focus is singing songs in foreign languages and translating Japanese songs into English. As a singer in Japan, she sang songs of various genres, from Showa era pop songs to jazz and bossa nova.

ShawTime Duo

ShawTime Duo is a 2-piece father and son band, with father Andy Shaw on the electric ukulele and backup vocals, and 9-year-old son Jarvis on lead vocals. They are known for their unique twist on cover songs and dynamic performances, making them a sensation in the Brooklyn music scene. Their repertoire spans punk, rock, ska, and pop, covering artists such as Misfits, Ramones, The Specials, Jesus and Mary Chain, My Chemical Romance, and Weezer. ShawTime Duo has performed over 100 live shows in the Tri-State area, including three appearances at the Porch Stomp Festival on Governors Island.
